HAYDEN Hackney has turned down a move to Ipswich Town, after Middlesbrough accepted an offer and gave the midfielder permission to speak to the club this week.
The Championship club negotiated a deal said to be worth around £20 million, which included a substantial sell-on fee, which Boro accepted. Hackney travelled to Suffolk during the week to hold talks with the club as they tried to convince him of the move to Portman Road.
