Gr-eight Hornets are hailed by boss Moore

Hebburn's Olly Martin scored four on a day to remember for the Hornets

The Hornets produced a devastating performance in front of goal as they banished any memories of last weekend's loss at the UTS Stadium and put their visitors to the sword with ease.

Substitute Olly Martin led the way with a well-taken hat-trick and there was a goal apiece from Matty Elsdon, Gary Martin, Campbell Darcy and Jack Foalle before an own goal only heightened the anguish for the Yellows.

For Moore, there was the satisfaction of finally carrying out their threat to find their prolific side and rack up a big win at some point in the season.

He told The Sunday Sun: “We were coming off the pitch and one of the players said that had been brewing for a few weeks.

“I think we are in the top four scorers in the division but we have struggled to keep the ball out of the net for the last few weeks.
