ENGLAND’S Lionesses wound down after their nail-biting Euros quarter-final by tuning into the emotional drama of Love Island.

WE'RE JUST LOVING IT

Esme Morgan said watching an episode of the steamy dating show helped some players chill out after they snatched victory from Sweden in a dramatic penalty shootout on Wednesday night.

And the squad are now just as passionate as the Love Island contestants – about winning their next big match, the semifinal against Italy on Tuesday.

The quarter-final went down to the wire as England came back from 2-0 down to equalise with two late goals.

After no more were scored in extra time, the game went to penalties – and even that went to sudden death. But England eventually scored three out of their seven strikes on goal, while Sweden could only manage two.

Defender Esme, 24, said yesterday: “We went to bed quite late. It’s just so hard to switch off, especially when it’s been such a game of rollercoaster emotions.
