Regis sharpening Cats' claws ready for play-off battle

SUNDERLAND boss Regis Le Bris wants his promotion-chasing side to "build momentum" heading into the final weeks of the season following their win over Millwall at the Stadium of Light.

Trai Hume scored the only goal of the game for the Black Cats to strengthen their grip on fourth place in the Championship, with a place in the play-offs now seeming increasingly likely.

Victory comes following a 3-0 defeat to Coventry and a draw against Preston prior to the international break and Le Bris was pleased with his side's reaction.

He said: "It's a new chapter, we cannot waste time.

"It's important to build this momentum and be accurate, precise for every single minute we play now because the end of the season will be tough.
