'Potentially historic'

THEIR last meeting erupted in a furious war of words - but hopes for peace were reignited yesterday as the Pope's funeral brought Volodymr Zelensky and Donald Trump back together.

The Ukrainian leader spent 15 minutes speaking with the American President in Rome and said their talk could be “historic”.

Despite their fiery ex-change at the White House in February, they seemed on good terms as they stood with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and France's Emmanuel Macron.

The presidents also spoke face-to-face at St Peter's Basilica - a holy Catholic site, where visitors are urged to be respectful.
