Solomon snatches crown for Leeds in last-gasp drama

MANOR SOLOMON scored a brilliant stoppage-time winner to send Leeds up to the Premier League as champions as they came from behind to beat relegated Plymouth.

With Burnley beating Millwall, Daniel Farke’s men knew only a win would make them champions on goal difference and Solomon made it happen, with both Leeds and Burnley ending the season on a remarkable 100 points.

On-loan Spurs ace Solomon latched on to a through ball from fellow scorer Wilfried Gnonto before racing into the area from the left, beating marker Nikola Katic before firing low into the far corner past outstretched keeper Conor Hazard.

Afterwards Leeds boss Farke (right) was playing his cards close to his chest as speculation grew that he would be sacked by the Elland Road hierarchy despite the title success.

He said: “I was so focused to win promotion but honestly I was a bit greedy for the title in recent weeks.
