Amorim happy to bring in fresh talent to fit his system without busting the Old Trafford budget

CHIRPY CHIRPY CHEAP CHEAP!

RUBEN AMORIM transformed Sporting Lisbon into the best team in Portugal with a limited budget and the support of the man who will help Pep Guardiola rebuild Manchester City this summer.

He has no doubts that he can work the oracle once again, working alongside Jason Wilcox at Manchester United.

Amorim's close friend Hugo Viana (below, left) is heading to the Etihad as a replacement for City's director of football Txiki Begiristain - and will have plenty of cash to splash on new players.

Across town at United, it will be up to technical director Wilcox (below, right) to work alongside the Portuguese to make absolutely sure that every penny counts.

Amorim insists that when he asks Wilcox - formerly boss of City's academy - for big signings he will not be expecting big money. Cash for new players is scarce at a club that stands £lbillion in debt and has been left behind by neighbours who no longer have to create a din to make their presence felt.
