BIG ANGE COMES OUT FIGHTING

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has vowed he'll do the job his way - even though it could be the highway at St James' Park.

- BY NEIL MOXLEY

The Aussie has borrowed a line from the songbook from the favourite singer of Nottingham Forest's greatest manager, the late Brian Clough (right) as he battles to save his job.

Old Big 'Ed was a lifelong fan of Ol' Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, whose anthem 'My Way' has been taken up by the current incumbent of the City Ground hotseat.

Postecoglou heads to Newcastle this afternoon amid calls for his head from his own supporters following the midweek Europa League reversal against Midtjylland. The former Tottenham manager is on a six-game run without victory since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo less than a month ago.

But if the 60-year-old is going to bow out and become the subject of one of the shortest Premier League managerial reigns on record then he is, indeed, going to do it his way.

To his credit, Postecoglou fronted up and took all questions head on during his pre-match briefing ahead of a crunch clash on Tyneside.
