KANE ENDS LONG TROPHY WAIT WITH BUNDESLIGA CROWN

HARRY KANE celebrated his first club trophy as he bagged the opening goal and inspired Bayern Munich to victory over Borussia Monchengladbach, in Thomas Muller's final home game for the club.

Vincent Kompany’s side clinched the title last weekend to wrestle it back after missing out to Bayer Leverkusen for the first time in 12 seasons last year.

It allowed Bayern supporters to revel in a party atmosphere at the Allianz Stadium for the visit of Borussia Monchengladbach in their penultimate game and deliver a fitting send-off to veteran Muller.

The 35-year-old was handed the honours of lifting the Meisterschale trophy by captain Manuel Neuer after Bayern had sealed a routine win, bringing the curtain down on a 25-year spell at the club.
