Man demolished penguin models and hurled them into river

BRAZEN vandal caught on CCTV bizarrely damaging penguin statues has been ordered to pay fines and compensation of more than £1,200.

Malachi Graham, 20, inflicted thousands of pounds worth of damage to the sculptures, which were part of a fundraiser for a hospice in Worcester.

Kidderminster Magistrates were told he destroyed parts of the Waddle of Worcester art trail by demolishing two penguins and hurling another into a river.

CCTV footage captured him snapping one of the penguins from its base and stomping on it repeatedly.

Another individual is seen filming the vandalism on their phone at around 1am on 20 August last year.
