RESIDENTS on a Birmingham street warned they would take ‘direct action’ unless a mountain of rubbish left in their street for months was cleared.

Tony Kaye, who lives on Edward Road in Balsall Heath, claimed bins had not been emptied since last October.

The 82-year-old said fed-up residents had dealt with a vermin infestation which resulted in a visit from exterminators.
