MURDER TRIAL TOLD MAN DANCED AFTER FATAL KNIFE ATTACK

THE moment a murder-accused asylum seeker dances and drinks in a car park after allegedly stabbing a mum to death has been shown to jurors.

Deng Chol Majek plunged a screw driver into the head and body of hotel worker Rhiannon Skye Whyte after “tracking” her to Bescot Stadium railway station, prosecutors say.

He was living at the Walsall hotel, which was housing male asylum seekers at the time of the alleged killing.

Mobile phone and CCTV clips said to show Majek “dancing” and “drinking” in the hotel car park in the hours after she was left for dead at the station were shown to jurors.

The phone footage, filmed in the early hours of October 21 last year, is said to show Majek dancing as the blue flashing lights of emergency services vehicles rushing to Ms Whyte’s aid can be seen in the background.

Majek, of Bescot Crescent, Walsall, denies murdering Ms Whyte shortly after 11.15pm on October 20 and having an offensive weapon - a screwdriver - in a public place.
