MAN FOUND GUILTY OF MURDERING MUM AND HIDING BODY IN SOFA

A THUG will serve nearly 20 years for murdering an 'amazing mum'. Wayne Bond killed Rebecca Simkin at his flat and wrapped her body in a blanket before placing it under an upturned sofa.
He left her body for two days before returning and telling staff at his flat that she had died.
He was arrested and found guilty of her murder by a jury at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday following a ten-day trial.
Bond, 45, of Stafford, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 19 years and 27 days to serve before he can apply for parole at Stafford Crown Court.
