Dad's three-minute TikTok Israeli rant landed him in jail

A MIDLAND dad has been jailed over threatening a former Israeli soldier that he would be 'dragged out of Nando's' in a TikTok rant.

Shakeel Yunis, aged 44, posted a menacing three-minute-long video warning the man he would 'never be able to walk the streets' amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

The victim, who was actually a charity worker, was forced to leave his home, delete his face from social media profiles and change his name, Birmingham Crown Court heard.

Yunis, of Craven Street, Coventry, admitted conveying a threat of serious harm and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Judge Andrew Smith KC said: "I have concluded only immediate custody will provide appropriate punishment in this case. “It was a very serious offence which undermines the operation of a stable and civilised society.
