Wat a great example for Killie's kids

STUART KETTLEWELL has hailed David Watson as the perfect role model for Kilmarnock's talented kids.

And the Rugby Park boss reckons midfielder Watson's attitude and enthusiasm helps elevate his squad.

The 20-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Killie and was Young Player of the Year two seasons ago.

Kettlewell insists Watson's constant desire to improve is a great example for their academy graduates looking to follow in his footsteps to the first team.

He said: “Davie is the guy I speak about to everyone. Before training, he's the first one out on the pitch working with the ball.

“He's always got a smile on his face and is always a breath of fresh air.

“He's a real competitor as well and is always so energetic in everything he does.
