Sam Lichts up the title party with a double

SAM STANTON was at the double as Arbroath clinched the League One title in style with a 4-0 win over Stenhousemuir.

Stanton got the party started at Gayfield just before half-time.

Skipper Tam O'Brien kept a long throw alive inside the box and the midfielder pounced to sweep the ball home from six yards.

On-loan St Mirren kid Fraser Taylor doubled their lead within two minutes of the restart with his seventh of the season and Stanton's second followed soon after.

Andy Winter stretched their lead on the hour when he lashed the ball home, with the final half hour played out in a party mood.
