Dane aims to push Dons for another go at Europe
-
ALEXANDER JENSEN insists Europe can’t become a distraction - because Aberdeen need to do better in the league to ensure they get back there next season.
The Scottish Cup winners have had a disappointing Euro campaign, with just two points from their first four Conference League games.
The latest was the uninspiring home 1-1 draw with Noah on Thursday and now they have to pick themselves up for today’s trip to Livingston.
Aberdeen have had a slow league start too and, despite a recent revival, are still playing catch-up.
Defender Jensen said: “The league is where we need to do better so we qualify for Europe again next year.
“We need to win as many games as possible, starting against Livi. We had a good win against Hearts last week. It was a good marker to beat the league leaders. But we can get the same three points if we beat Livi”
The Pittodrie side drew a blank at home against the Lions earlier this season and can expect just as tough a challenge in West Lothian.
