Nancy is as big a risk for Celtic as Martin was for Rangers

Miller knows Old Firm goldfish bowl and says it's unlike anything Hoops top target has ever faced
THERE'S almost 4000 miles between the Lower.com Field Stadium in Columbus and Celtic Park in Glasgow.
But in terms of footballing pressure points, Colin Miller insists the two venues are worlds away.
Wilfried Nancy looks set to embark on that journey from the MLS to the Scottish Premiership, with Celtic chiefs convinced the Frenchman is the right man to get the Hoops flying again.
Nancy could be unveiled as early as next week if compensation can be thrashed out with his current employers.
But even though the 48-year-old’s coaching CV stacks up after just four years as the main man at Montreal and Columbus, Miller reckons he’s in for a rude awakening in Glasgow's east end.
Celtic supporters might not like this — but Miller goes as far as to compare the risk factor in appointing Nancy to that of Rangers unveiling Russell Martin ahead of his doomed 122-day tenure at Ibrox earlier this season.
Miller is in a strong position to judge, to be fair.
He has spent over 40 years between the Scottish and American games.
Two seasons at Rangers as a young defender under Jock Wallace taught him all he needed to know about the win-at-all-costs nature of the Old Firm.
Spells at Hearts, St Johnstone, Hamilton Accies and Dunfermline were also interspersed with a playing career that took him to Toronto Blizzard and Hamilton Steelers across the Atlantic.
He also won 61 caps for Canada before becoming coach at Vancouver Whitecaps and the Canadian national team. Lately the 61-year-old has packed away his boots to take up the microphone as a co-commentator for Vancouver Whitecaps TV.
