JIMMY MANGAN hopes the signs are perfect for Spillane's Tower.
The 70-year-old trainer has a serious Gold Cup contender in the JP McManus-owned star.
Mangan celebrated Grand National success at Aintree 23 years ago and the reminders are still dotted on the Liverpool hero's local turf.
He said: “In the village I come from, the signs are still up - home of Monty's Pass.
“Hopefully they can put another one up!
“I have about 10 horses, I don't want big numbers. I'd rather have quality over quantity. I did have around 20 the time of Monty's Pass.
“Spillane's Tower is a very important horse for me.
