Hazelnut & orange amaretti cookies

THE Oscars buzz has finally died away with all the glitz and glamour done for another year. As usual, every nominee was given a goody bag on the night.

But don't be thinking it was just a snack and some free lip balm.

This year's gift included liposuction vouchers, a prenup from a lawyer, teeth whitening, mocktails and designer cookies.

The only one of those gifts I'd be interested in is the latter.

Who wouldn't want a posh cookie?

These were from Arizona-based Haize & Honey, famous for their brown butter chocolate chunk cookie.

Now, while that's not really my cup of tea, I do generally love any biscuits or cookies as long as they are crisp and small.
