But Scottish football is actually nothing like a goldfish bowl.Yeah, those things might be a bit cramped but wee Nemo and his pals spend their days peacefully swimming around minding their own business.

Our game is more like a beehive ... that has been chucked into a tumble dryer.

Sometimes there's so much buzzing around you need to take a step back just to get a wide-lens view of the madness.

It happened the other night at Celtic Park. The home side were one up on Dundee heading into the final 15 minutes, comfortably dominating the game and preparing to give Martin O'Neill a nice sendoff.

But the visitors - the cheek of them - had the audacity to cross the halfway line a couple of times. It completely flipped the atmosphere.

There were howls of anguish and growls of discontent.

And this is December, not April with the title hanging in the balance.
