EMMA LAVELLE reckons Ma Shantou can be the pocket Paisley Park to stun the Irish big guns in the Stayers’ Hurdle.
The trainer joined racing's highest class when her Andrew Gemmell-owned stable icon won the big race in 2019.
Lavelle now has seven-year-old Ma Shantou looking to down talents such as Teahupoo and Bob Olinger in the three-mile cracker.
She said: “He's a different model. Paisley was this big, upstanding horse and Ma Shantou isn’t. He's diminutive but he doesn't think he is - he thinks he’s massive.
