ELENA RYBAKINA declared she needed to embark on risky business to banish her Australian Open demons.

Three years ago, the Kazakh lost to Aryna Sabalenka despite winning the first set of the final. Rybakina looked on course for a dose of deja vu when she trailed 0-3 in the decider.

But she took six of the last seven games to seal a 6-4 4-6 6-4 win over two-time champ Sabalenka, sealing it with her 47th ace of the tournament.
