CalMac's words of wisdom helped Engels settle at Celtic
DON'T go there or there. Stay at home. And if you need shopping, get it delivered.
Welcome to Glasgow, Arne Engels. When the young Belgian arrived in the city to sign for Celtic he was probably still a bit wet around the ears.
The first person he'd have gone to for advice about his new home would have been Callum McGregor.
And the message was pretty clear.
The Celtic skipper has become a master at keeping himself to himself in the midst of Old Firm madness around him.
So when Engels walked through the doors at Parkhead he was only too happy to pass on his words of wisdom. And it obviously worked. Because the club's record £11million signing hasn't just been as quiet as a mouse off the pitch.
He has also been a top performer on it as Brendan Rodgers' side have wrapped up a title, League Cup - and are on the verge of a Treble.
While McGregor is a PFA Scotland nominee for Player of the Year, Engels is up for the Young Player award with the winners announced at tonight's glitzy Glasgow dinner.
The pair have been starring together in Celtic's midfield for most of the campaign.
And as the senior figure McGregor has kept the 21-year-old right.
He has been hugely impressed by Engels' impact in his first Scottish Premiership season.
When asked about how the Belgian has adapted to life in the city, McGregor said: "Right away, he was comfortable here.
"When a new guy comes in the first thing they ask is where to go for a coffee or something to eat.
