THE SNP must deal with the “bloated” devolved civil service in Scotland, Labour said, after figures reached a record high.
Officlal statistics showed 27,400 full-time equivalent (FTE) civil servants in the first quarter of the year.
In 1999, just 14,100 civil servants were recorded.
