ATA BOY BILLY'S TURNING POINT

BILLY GILMOUR has outlined the key moment in Napoli’s season that turned them from believers into genuine challengers for the Scudetto.

- BY ANTHONY EVANS

With just three games left, Antonio Conte's side sit clear of Inter Milan at the top of Serie A as they look to win their second title in three years, having only won two Scudettos (in 1987 and 1990) before that in their 98-year history.

A 1-0 victory at Lecce yesterday thanks to a first-half goal from Giacomo Raspadori put them six points ahead at the summit before Inter took on Verona in yesterday's late game.

Gilmour hasn't hit the ground running like Scotland team-mate Scott McTominay, who has spearheaded their title charge with 12 goals in 32 Serie A matches, including five in his last four matches.
