Three former ministers and MPs remanded in separate cases

Three former ministers and MPs were remanded on Friday as authorities intensified investigations into alleged misconduct spanning decades.

Former State Minister and MP Nimal Lanza surrendered to the Kochchikade Police and was arrested in connection with an assault incident during a 2006 protest. He was produced in court and remanded until 12 September.
