Volvo shifts up a gear as demand turns a corner

VOLVO hit a speed bump last year, as a vehicle sales slowdown put the brakes on revenue and profits in the final quarter.

Last year was always going to be a year of normalising market demand. Freight and construction activity came down in many regions, after a couple of years of very strong growth in the post-pandemic boom.

While that's not an easy road to navigate, investors will be pleased to see that operations under the hood are running efficiently.

Despite profits taking a hit this year, Volvo still managed to grow its operating cash flow, with record numbers generated in the fourth quarter.

It's worth pointing out that this isn't the car maker - that part was sold off a while ago.
