Three losses in a row rock Rowett

A GOAL by Paik Seung-ho gave Birmingham their first home league victory of the season.

The South Korea international struck just before the interval, converting Ethan Laird’s centre to inflict a third successive Championship defeat on Gary Rowett’s side.

Paik’s effort maintained the hosts’ unbeaten start to the campaign.

Oxford boss Rowett was making a return to the club where he spent three seasons as a player while he also managed Birmingham in two different spells.

The last time he was at St Andrew’s in a professional capacity was the final day of the 2023-24 campaign, when Blues were relegated to the third tier.
