TEARFUL Adele said a long-awaited hello to fans – and lots of apologies – as she finally launched her postponed Las Vegas residency.

The singer defended her decision to call off her January shows at Caesars Palace at the last minute but admitted she had agonised over whether audiences would go easy on her.

Dressed in a stylish embroidered gown, she said of cancelling the shows: “It is the worst feeling I have ever had but the best decision I have ever made when it comes to my career – and I do stand by it all.”

However, 34-year-old Adele added: “I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming back and seeing me tonight.

“I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I caused. It really is crazy. I am from Tottenham, north London.”

After belting out Hello and Easy On Me, with just a pianist on stage, the emotion and tears poured out.
