Strictly stars wish BBC a ‘Happy 100’

STRICTLY paid tribute to the BBC last night with a star-studded spectacular to mark the centenary of the public service broadcaster.
It kicked off with a routine by the professionals and judges, which featured appearances from Huw Edwards, Naga Munchetty and Graham Norton.
The number opened with newscaster Huw paying tribute to the dance competition before the dancers were seen on the set of numerous classic Beeb shows including Casualty, EastEnders and University Challenge.
The action then moved to the Strictly dancefloor.
Opening the show, co-host Tess Daly said: “Tonight we are celebrating 100 years of the BBC.”
Fellow host Claudia Winkleman said it was the “most ambitious group number ever featuring 14 BBC shows and 35 BBC stars”.
