THEY say size isn't everything, but when it comes to model railways pop maestro Pete Waterman believes big is always better especially where rock star Rod Stewart is concerned.
The pair are among a number of super-rich celebrities who have indulged their model railway obsession behind the doors of their multi-million pound homes.
As he prepares to let TV cameras film his train set for the first time, Pete insists he trumps rail enthusiast Rod every time when it comes to their common hobby.
"Oh mine is much bigger than Rod's...much bigger," boasts Pete, 76, who is to host a new Channel 4 series, Little Trains & Big Names, about celebrity model railways.
"My model railroad is about 64ft long, so it is bigger than most people's, including Rod's."
