PAROLE chiefs have sparked fury by suggesting a woman whose daughter was murdered by a soldier with a meat cleaver has put his life at risk by campaigning for him to stay in prison.

- By Isaac Crowson

Stephen Wynne killed mother-of-three Chantel Taylor, 27, in Birkenhead, Merseyside, in 2004 by striking her in the neck and then dismembering her body with a saw.

He was 26 at the time and dumped Chantel's body parts, which have not been recovered, in woods and a tip.

Wynne was only caught for the murder when he admitted it two years later after he had tried to set light to a mosque in the town in warped "revenge" for the July 7

'It makes the pain of this even worse'

London bombings in 2005. He was jailed for life in 2006.

Wynne faces a Parole Board hearing where he is hoping to be released from prison.

Chantel's mum Jean Taylor wanted it to be held in public.

But the Parole Board has ruled it should be held behind closed doors, claiming Jean's campaign has put Wynne's life at risk.

Jean runs the Families Fighting for Justice campaign which calls for Chantel's Law.
