Emery out to write more Villa history

UNAI EMERY says he wants to get decorators in at Aston Villa's plush training base.

The Spaniard is reminded of the club's achievements every time he walks into his office at Bodymoor Heath. The club's honours are listed on a wall from top to bottom and Emery believes it's time to change the decor.

Villa's seven FA Cup victories are listed in claret stencil on a whitewashed wall and Emery is aiming to upgrade that.

He said: “Five or six years ago, the supporters were at Wembley when Villa were playing to be promoted to the Premier League.

“Now it's different, now we want to be there playing in a semi-final - it's a very good opportunity for us.
