Over 300 people seek help

New figures released show more than 300 people in the region underwent initial assessments for specialist treatment for alcohol and drug problems.

In 2023-24 a survey of all 32 council areas showed that in Stirling, a total of 306 people sought help.
Meanwhile, 16 people aged under 19 looked for support.
The highest number of assessments was 1599 in Glasgow City.
This week, NHS Forth Valley said it was providing vital support for people battling drug and alcohol problems across the area.
