Minecraft clone feels out of place

Playing this, I was reminded of that line about someone saying they'd invented the wheel and when you point out that it's already been invented, they reply cheerfully, "Yes, but not recently".

Cubic Odyssey looks like Minecraft, with its block-based landscapes, and plays like Minecraft, with its focus on gathering resources and turning them into, erm, other resources.

And if you are a Minecraft fan, you'll undoubtedly like it but probably don't really need it.
