Rashtriya Bajrang Dal protests against Kashmir based political parties for observance of July 13 as Martyrs' Day

JAMMU: The Rashtriya Bajrang Dal staged a strong protest on Saturday at the Trikuta Nagar Bus Stand in Jammu, opposing the demand made by Kashmir-based political parties-including the National Conference, People's Democratic Party (PDP), and Apni Party-to observe July 13 as "Kashmir Martyrs’ Day" and declare it a public holiday.

The protest was led by Rashtriya Bajrang Dal's State President Rakesh Bajrangi.
During the demonstration, effigies of Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Altaf Bukhari were burned as a mark of opposition to their continued efforts to promote separatist narratives.
Addressing media persons, Rakesh Bajrangi stated that those who died on July 13, 1931, were not martyrs but anti-national elements who rebelled against the rule of Maharaja Hari Singh and acted against the unity and sovereignty of India.
