Urban explorer pays visit to holiday park that closed in 2023
THE PONTINS holiday park in Southport which shut down in 2023 has been revisited unexpectedly, with an explorer stating it looked as if "time had stood still".
Matt, from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, stumbled upon the abandoned park and thought he would "check it out".
As an urban explorer, he usually favours establishments such as forgotten hospitals, but when he turned up to the Pontins resort, he couldn't believe just how much "time had stood still".
