The Jammu and Kashmir Police has announced a reward of ₹2 lakh to those who share information about the identified LeT militants.
The Union Government has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday (April 24, 2025) in the aftermath of the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people dead and several injured.
Addressing a public rally in Bihar's Madhubani district on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphatically said that those responsible for the “terrorist attack and their conspirators will be punished beyond their imagination”. “They will be punished”, he reiterated.
Sources in the Central government said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are reaching out to the leaders of various political parties for the same.
India on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan and announced a raft of measures including expulsion of Pakistani military attaches, suspension of the over six-decade-old Indus Water Treaty and immediate shutting down of the Attari land-transit post in view of the cross-border links to the Pahalgam terror attack.
The Pahalgam terror attack, which took place on April 22, 2025, was a tragic incident that shook the nation. Terrorists targeted a group of tourists, resulting in the loss of precious lives of 26 people. This is a tribute to commemorate the victims of this attack.
The three militants, whose sketches were made yesterday, were identified and the Jammu and Kashmir police announced a reward of ₹2 lakh to those who could share information about them.
The militants were identified as Adil Hussain Thoke, Ali Bhai and Hasim Musa. All of them are associated with LeT.
The police also declared that the identity of the informant would be kept secret.
Several Pakistani nationals visiting India started returning home through the Attari-Wagah land route in Amritsar today, a day after the Centre set a 48-hour deadline for them to leave the country.
