People are breaking into old nightclub to take drugs

A POPULAR old Swansea nightclub is being used as a drug den, police have said.

Officers for South Wales Police secured four open doors at the former Escape in Swansea after receiving reports it had been used for drug use and antisocial behaviour.

Escape closed in 2015, as owners described their “extreme sadness” at the decision, which they said was due to circumstances “beyond their control”.

The building remains there to this day as it was, with the nightclub sign even still intact.

Police have said they now intend to patrol the area to make sure problems do not persist.
