A COLEG Sir Gâr lecturer who once helped an Olympic champion on her path to glory, has been named as a finalist in the Educator of the Year category in the NCFE 2025 Aspirations Awards.
Rob Kirk, who is a lecturer in sport and sports science at the college's Graig campus in Llanelli, was nominated for his exceptional dedication to teaching and bespoke approach in helping students to succeed.
His passion for improving both academic and physical performance inspires learners and colleagues alike.
He shows unwavering support for learners facing challenges and produces results that are transformative. His personalised approach ensures every student's needs are met, going the extra mile to provide tailored help so that no one is left behind.
