At A-level, 32% of students achieved A* to A, above the national average for Wales, 78% A* to C with 96% achieving A*to E.

At AS level (Year 12), a quarter of all grades were A grades. AS outcomes matched the best ever AS results and the school said this bodes well for next year.

Headteacher Dave Williams said: “We are incredibly proud of our students. Their achievements are the result of persistent effort, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence. Equally, we acknowledge the vital role of families, whose encouragement and support outside school have made a real difference. Together, this is what makes our school community so special.”

Students and staff at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen are celebrating another year of excellent A-level results.

Headteacher Dr Llinos Jones praised the efforts of both students and staff, expressing delight at the results, she said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s A-level results. Our students have shown incredible determination and ambition, qualities that will carry them far in life.
