RSPCA: let's 'quieten the noise' for animals
Shields Gazette
|November 05, 2025
The RSPCA is urging the public to show compassion during this year's Bonfire Night by being a "Kind Spark" and considering the devastating effects loud fireworks can have on animals.
-
The charity's appeal follows two distressing incidents last year-a horse named Foxy left severely injured and a dog called Luna killed after fleeing her home in terror.
Polling by the RSPCA suggests that millions of households up and down the country - more than one in five -plan to set off fireworks this season, prompting renewed calls for more responsible celebrations.
