Port of Tyne planning to expand its deep-water quay

Port of Tyne is planning to upgrade and extend a deep-water quay in a bid to cement its national position as a major centre for renewable energy industries.

The South Tyneside-based firm is aiming to add an extra 400m of quay to its 230-acre Tyne Clean Energy Park (TCEP) on the opposite bank of the river at Howden, North Tyneside - potentially creating thousands of jobs.
