Free service to help make homes energy efficient

North East Mayor Kim McGuinness has launched a free advice service to help families cut their energy bills and stay warm.

The North East Warm Homes service is part of a £4m project which aims to provide free, expert guidance to help residents in the region save cash and stay healthy this winter.

Funded by the North East Combined Authority, the service brings together local partners to offer practical solutions - like insulation, heat pumps and solar power with the aim of making greener choices simple and accessible.
