Scunthorpe Telegraph
|May 22, 2025
A JEALOUS man punched a former friend attending a house party because he thought he was in a relationship with his ex-partner.
-
David Wilson, 37, then drove off despite being intoxicated and under the influence of drugs and sped through the streets of Scunthorpe dangerously with police in pursuit. His car collided with a lamppost and a gas pipe which led to the evacuation of residents in Cliff Street in Scunthorpe.
Wilson, of Laburnum Grove, Crowle, admitted causing grievous bodily harm to the party guest and an offence of dangerous driving on December 30, last year.
The injured man needed surgery to place metal plates into his jaw due to the force of the blow to his face, said prosecutor Michael Masson.
