Reform aims for historic win to leave Labour in ruins
Scottish Sunday Express
|October 19, 2025
REFORM UK is hoping for a historic victory this week in a Labour heartland constituency.
Caerphilly has voted Labour in every Westminster election since 1918 but polling suggests Nigel Farage's party has a good lead over pro-independence Plaid Cymru ahead of Thursday's Senedd by-election.
A Reform win would intensify fears in Labour circles that Sir Keir Starmer is on course for humiliation in May's megaelections to the Scottish and Welsh parliaments and councils across England.
