KROUPI SNATCHES POINT TO SILENCE ELLAND ROAD FANS

LEEDS UNITED were left heartbroken by a late Eli Kroupi goal that earned Bournemouth a point in stoppage time.

The attacker was left unmarked as he scooped the ball into the corner of the net to silence Elland Road.

It dampened what was set to be a joyous occasion for the Whites, who had led for 38 minutes and boss Daniel Farke lamented that lapse of concentration.

He said: "We should have won the game, even the first half. We had more than enough chances to win probably two Premier League games.

"A valuable point, but yes, of course, it's a bit unlucky and disappointing that it was not the deserved three points today."

Anton Stach may have been the free-kick hero last weekend against Wolves but he turned the villain when he gave away the set-piece for Bournemouth's opener through Antoine Semenyo.
