Woman dies in crofting fire

A WOMAN has died in a house fire at a crofting community in Lochaber.

Four fire engines were sent to the blaze at the semi-detached property near Glenuig, south of Lochailort, at about 10.20am on Wednesday.

Police and ambulance crews attended but a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
