THE latest offering from Glenmorangie is promising aficionados an encounter at a vibrant spice market.

Glenmorangie’s A Tale of Spices is the sixth release in the Highland distillery’s award-winning A Tale Of... series, inspired by exotic, bustling marketplaces around thw world.

The release is described as a “marriage of Glenmorangie finished in four different cask types for the first time” and includes an experimental Glenmorangie aged in Moroccan red wine casks, said to offer notes of ginger, saffron, cumin, chilli, nutmeg and sugared almonds.

Never used before at Glenmorangie, the shaved, toasted red wine Moroccan casks, crafted from French oak, offer nuanced, fruity notes and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks add to the depth.
